Structural works aimed to eliminate static vulnerabilities of Comelit Group SPA headquarter have just finished.

Comelit is an industrial company Founded in 1956 operating on a worldwide scale and specialising in the design and manufacture of video entry, video surveillance, anti-intrusion, home automation, access control and fire protection systems.

Following an in-depth report and a specific survey campaign on existing structures conducted to assess the structural vulnerability index in the event of an earthquake, in order to reduce the risk for employees, the company decided to intervene on the structures of its headquarter, even if still complying with the law.

Stiffening plates and metal anchors have been installed on the existing structure, with a consequent significant reduction in the seismic risk, which also allowed Comelit to take advantage of important tax benefits.

Gaining an improvement of one risk class, Italian regulation allows a tax recovery of 70% of the sum invested for work expenses and design, which becomes 80% with two risk classes upgrades.
